Ruby's is pleased to offer an opportunity to learn to THROW BIG BOWLS with long-time member and mentor Charles Belgarde Jr.

This workshop will start with a throwing demo by Charles, followed by time for participants to work on their own bowls on the wheel. Time permitting, at the end, Charles will show how to glaze a large bowl. This is a hands-on workshop.

Guidelines and what to expect:

-Recommended clay to use is Soldate (or any other clay with grog).

-Participants should buy clay from the Ruby's clay closet or source their own clay.  The registration does NOT include clay.

-Registration includes bisque firing (exact date TBD, approximately 3 weeks after the workshop) AND cone 10 glaze firing (exact date TBD).

-We expect to offer shelving storage space in area near Pug room to store bowls (WIP and bisque) so as to not crowd the damp room, if necessary.

-Maximum 2 bowls per participant will be accommodated through firings.

9:30am: Social time with coffee and nibbles.

There will be a 45-minute lunch break.

Workshop will run from 10am-3pmWe anticipate high interest in this event.  We will try to accommodate a few folks from the waitlist for a "demo-viewing option only" (to be confirmed).
