Teacher, traveler, and ceramic artist, Jennifer Merrill-Palethorpe brings
two decades of experience to the pieces she crafts. After years as a
journeyman potter at San Francisco State, Jennifer spent 5 years honing
her craft at The Potter’s Studio in Berkeley, and finally joined
her fellow artists at Ruby’s Clay Studio in 2002. Her colorful
pieces are primarily wheel thrown, using both black and white stoneware
clays. Depending upon the piece, she will high-fire in the gas kiln to
cone 10, or use the electric kiln to fire to cone 6. And while no two
pieces are alike, they are all designed to be both vitreous, durable, and
beautiful. |
