I have been working in clay on and off since 1978. In recent years however, I have made a more serious commitment to clay. The majority of my work is hand-thrown. I find the meditative process of throwing helps me to balance the rest of my life, where I devote a lot of my time to assisting pre-teens to make a smoother transition to adolescence.
All of my work is functional, either high-fired or raku-fired. My small vases (2"-4") have become my "signature" pieces, and have made their way into homes throughout the world (mostly priced $10-$20). My work is available year-round at Ruby's Clay Studio.
