I began working in ceramics in 1972 after moving to the Bay Area.  In 2001 I was able to devote full-time to my obsession with clay.  Over the years I have taken classes and workshops at Ruby's, City College, Sharon Arts and the Palo Alto Cultural Center.

My main focus is creating outdoor fountains and sculpture involving water and plants.  Each piece is unique and hand-built in Porcelain, Black Mountain, Cassius or Red Clay and decorated  with incised or applied designs, Terra Sigillata, and stains.  Some pieces are glazed, some are left unglazed to allow the clay body to dominate.   Most pieces are then fired to cone 6 reduction or oxidation.
